Draw and Cut<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Simply draw a circle on your felt and cut it out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ordinary soft graphite pencils work well, just don&#8217;t make the point too sharp or it will tend to damage your felt. And if your felt is dark, then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Staedtler-Lumocolour-Permanent-Glasochrom-Pencil\/dp\/B000TKHAC2?crid=NZAKAQVUNH4J&amp;keywords=staedtler+lumocolor+permanent+white+pencil+glasochrom&amp;qid=1647990228&amp;sprefix=staedtler+lumocolor+permanent+white+pencil+glasochrom%2Caps%2C286&amp;sr=8-1&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=colouredbut0d-20&amp;linkId=3adc1a089ed1044edb86350c34703010&amp;language=en_US&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">a wax pencil <\/a>is a lifesaver. It makes a lovely soft white line that rubs off without any trouble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To draw a decent circle, that is, a circle without any wobbles and bumps, you&#8217;ll need to use a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Mr-Template-Stencil-Templates-Drafting\/dp\/B094493H6N?crid=Z21J2QRZL6FE&amp;keywords=circle+template&amp;qid=1647989892&amp;sprefix=circle+template%2Caps%2C354&amp;sr=8-1-spons&amp;psc=1&amp;spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyVkNXQ1pXTUk3VEpTJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMzQ1NDI0MTU3MzA2NVVaSDAwUiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjQ4MTQ0MUJROVVTSkJMMFZWJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ%3D%3D&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=colouredbut0d-20&amp;linkId=e61305de30d040e86797562a64ed8ea9&amp;language=en_US&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">circle stencil<\/a> or something that comes in a circle shape. Luckily, there are all sorts of household items you can use: coins, cups, bowls, jar lids and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, it&#8217;s important to make sure you have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0019IG89O?ie=UTF8&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=colouredbut0d-20&amp;linkId=a9fc7647207b1a9ce3d04a4c4af4cbc5&amp;language=en_US&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">a good quality pair of scissors<\/a>. Kiddy scissors and cheap scissors just won&#8217;t do the trick. I think that good quality scissors are a must for adults as well as for kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, you really should keep one pair of scissors for fabric and another for paper. Paper tends to blunt your scissors which means, you won&#8217;t get a clean cut if you use them on fabric. Paper and Tape<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Draw a circle on paper. Cut around the circle staying about 1\/8&#8243; from the edge of the circle. Use ordinary cellophane tape to stick the circle onto your felt. Freezer paper<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>What an amazing find freezer paper is! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s great for accurately cutting out circles and, of course, more complicated shapes too. It&#8217;s definitely my go-to method when I need my shapes to be cut out with a high degree of precision. And it&#8217;s easy to use: simply draw or print out your circle on the matt side of the freezer paper, iron it on with a hot iron, and lo and behold, it sticks!
