It’s that time of the year again. Sew a Softie in July.<\/p>\n

I can’t believe what started out as a one day event is now a month of daily simple to sew softie tutorials.<\/p>\n

With Summer camps in the US and many other countries around the world cancelled, Sew a Softie in July offers a great alternative for parents who want to get their kids learning a new skill without spending hours staring at a screen.<\/p>\n

And once kids get the sewing bug …they won’t want to stop. Here’s a quick rundown of what will be happening!<\/p>\n

So what is Sew a Softie in July?<\/h3>\n

It’s a month of daily simple to sew softie tutorials. \u00a0Also, kid ambassadors join in and teach a friend how to sew softie or host a Sew a Softie Party.<\/p>\n

What’s the aim of Sew a Softie?<\/h3>\n

To get adults and kids learning to sew.<\/p>\n

How do I join in?<\/h3>\n

Follow me on instagram<\/a> or in the Sew a Softie facebook group<\/a> where I’ll be posting links to the daily tutorials. Your kids can join in as kid ambassadors<\/a> too!<\/p>\n

What if I can’t sew?<\/h3>\n

The tutorials are made for newbies. Really simple, with step by step photos and\/or a video to show you what to do.<\/p>\n

You can have a look at my videos on how to sew basic stitches.<\/p>\n

Great! Join the Sew a Softie facebook group<\/a> and ask away.<\/p>\n

What materials do I need?<\/h3>\n

Your basics will be fabric\/felt, needle and thread, pins or sewing clips, stuffing and glue. Some projects might require ribbons or lace and a button.<\/p>\n
