Ever wondered how to sew a stuffed wombat?<\/em><\/p>\n

Meet Wally. He’s a wombat. He’s friendly, talented at digging and he’s a free stuffed wombat sewing pattern over at Clover<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Clover is Sew a Softie’s latest sponsor (big applause and cheers). When they asked if I would like to design a softie for them I thought of Wally…we’ve been spending a lot of time together lately…and he makes a fun project for anyone who still wants to join in the Global Kids Sewing Party<\/a> this March, 2020.<\/p>\n

All my softies are easy-to-sew stress-free patterns that are designed with first-time and young kid sewers in mind.<\/p>\n

The only technique you really need is a running stitch, although I have opted to use a french knot for the pupils of his eyes. If you’re not to sure how to sew a running stitch you can go to my running stitch tutorial<\/a>. And if you’d like to add french knots to your repertoire, go to my french knot tutorial<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wally is weighted with rice grains which means that he is happy to sit and wait while you work…but watch out, Wally likes to burrow, so if he disappears, look out for holes that weren’t there before.<\/p>\n
