As you may know, I&#8217;m a great fan of running stitch&#8230;it&#8217;s easy to learn and quick to sew. This isn&#8217;t to say that I don&#8217;t like back stitch which is really much slower or blanket stitch which is a tad more fiddly, its just that running stitch ticks all my boxes.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I digress. I used sewing cotton but you can use embroidery floss, perle cotton, wool or any combination of these threads to create your running stitch rain.
