Rule 7 of my<a href=\"https:\/\/sewasoftie.com\/2019\/06\/7-golden-rules-for-teaching-kids-to-sew.html\"> Golden Rules for Teaching Kids to Sew<\/a> explains the importance of chocolate crackles and sewing with kids.<\/p>\n<p>Now if you&#8217;d like to know what that is, then you&#8217;re going to have to go and read that post but today I&#8217;m going to give you my favourite chocolate crackle recipe. Of course if you&#8217;re not an Aussie you&#8217;ll be wondering what an earth a chocolate crackle is. Well what can I say but that it&#8217;s chocolatey and crunchy and for me, a sweet reminder of my childhood parties.<\/p>\n<p>My chocolate crackles is a two ingredient recipe. Quick to make and kids love them&#8230;and so do adults.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sewasoftie.com\/2019\/06\/chocolate-crackles-aka-a-chocolate-rice-krispy-treat.html\/chocolate-crackles\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5999\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5999\" src=\"https:\/\/sewasoftie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/chocolate-crackles.png\" alt=\"chocolate crackles \" width=\"680\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sewasoftie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/chocolate-crackles.png 680w, https:\/\/sewasoftie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/chocolate-crackles-300x199.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The original recipe has a few additional ingredients like copha and coconut and icing sugar but using just chocolate and Rice Bubbles makes a quicker, easier, and according to my kids, yummier chocolate crackle. I like to use dark chocolate but milk chocolate works too. Of course, the fun part of making these, other than licking out the bowl, is decorating them. Traditionally, they\u2019re decorated with sprinkles but we call them \u2018hundreds and thousands\u2019 and if you ever accidentally spill them you\u2019ll know why.<\/p>\n<p>We always put our chocolate crackles in the freezer to give them an extra crunch.<\/p>\n<h2>Chocolate Crackles Recipe<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>100gm chocolate<\/p>\n<p>3 cups Rice Bubbles (Krispies)<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds and thousands<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Melt chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>Add Rice Bubbles.<\/p>\n<p>Stir with a wooden spoon until the Rice Bubbles are covered in chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>Spoon into patty pans (cupcake liners) and decorate with sprinkles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You might be wondering what chocolate crackles are doing on a sewing with kids blog.
